    If it is too good to be true when it probably is. Many scammers are foreign nationals...so misspelling of words, the picture of the property does make sense, or keywords aren't right. You should question all pictures that might have logo's or watermarks. Some pictures may even have backgrounds of beaches or other tall buildings in the background but the neighborhood where the apartment is located has no tall buildings. Some of the language in an ad might include beaches, schools or regional stores that are not regional to where the apartment is. Homes for rent are the same way...if you can access your counties or parishes tax accessors office website you can see the owner of the home to make sure the person trying to lease it to you is the same person. If all else fails talk to the neighbors to see what they know.
