Jasmine Salinas (Top Fuel) and Jianna Evaristo (Pro Stock Motorcycle) are ready to face some of the toughest competition in all of drag racing at this week’s Toyota NHRA U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis. Known as “The Big Go,” this is the final event of the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series regular season. Series competitors will earn points and a half for their performances at the U.S. Nationals making the stakes incredibly high as they pull out all of the stops to make it into the Countdown to the Championship, NHRA’s version of the playoffs.

FRIDAY QUALIFYING - B. FORCE, ALEXANDER FIGHT THEIR WAY TO THE TOP OF INDY QUALIFYING. Under the threat of bad weather on the horizon of Indianapolis Raceway Park the NHRA and its racers were able to get in Friday’s single session. The lightning flashed in the distance as Brittany Force scored the No. 1 qualifier in Top Fuel. Blake Alexander (Funny Car), Greg Anderson (Pro Stock)and Angie Smith (Pro Stock Motorcycle).

The boys cross country team is looking to make some noise. The Woodmen are coming off of a strong 2023 campaign, where they finished 3rd at conference and county and 5th in the Sectional. They also advanced to Regionals as a team. Seniors Jake Squier, Sam Cassel, and Henry Barrett, all of whom were in the Top 4 of last season’s team, are returning to the squad. Sophomore Jack Siminski will also return for a varsity role, while the rest of the varsity lineup is seemingly up for grabs.
