Under the hood is a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with a rated 425 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Both of those figures outstrip the old 5.6L V8 engine, particularly the twist which is over a hundred lb-ft more than last year. A nine-speed automatic is paired with the mill; American customers can select rear-wheel drive variants but other markets, such as Canada, are 4x4 only. Towing prowess tops out at 8,500 pounds and, showing it’s serious, some trims can be equipped with a trailer brake controller.

No, these are meant to get you to the campsite over the kinds of two-track paths that don't really require four-wheel drive low or locking diffs but do require a tad more ground clearance and some all-terrain rubber.
