Watched 2 hotels, one hospital, and over 1000 houses and apartments built. We fought WE II on two fronts and won. Built 1000’s of ships and aircraft and in general had men that could plan and organize. But, NCDOT has been working on Market Street (hwy 17) for 4 years. This has become a lifetime job for the contractors. No planning, probably about 15 workers working at night for 3-4 hours. Someone needs to get fired immediately and someone with some smarts need to kick ass.

Will he continue NCDOT policy of reaction, not proactive safety measures? When I asked for a No Passing Zone sign to have erected on Sidbury road, I was told there are no fatality reports for that area, so no sign. I have experienced 3 very close, head on collision situations on my motorcycle. All 3 were people passing in a double yellow line zone in my lane, coming directly at me. I guess I need to die so they can justify a $800 sign. We’ll see what he does.
