these parents need to go to jail. how many children have to die because of irresponsible parents not locking up their guns. it needs to stop. I'm sure they are grieving, but it's the parents' irresponsibility that caused this tragedy. they rarely ever charge the parents. I wholeheartedly believe they should. this is a daily occurrence in America and will continue to be until people are held accountable for these occurrences. hell, it was barely a week before another child died because of irresponsible parents, but for whatever reason, they didn't get charged. there's also been a couple of other toddlers who recently got the parents' gun. if another kid would have gotten the gun and shot the child, they would be charged, so why not the parents? THIS IS SO UNACCEPTABLE.ALL OF THESE PARENTS SHOULD BE CHARGED WITH NEGLIGENT HOMICIDE. IF THEY DO IT IN OTHERS STATES, IT SHOULD BE DONE IN ALL REGARDLESS OF ECONOMIC STATUS.
