I truly believe that this young man should have been put to death right after he was found guilty of killing 17 innocent people. As an American taxpayer now that he is in prison for the rest of his life, I have to pay for a bed to sleep in, 3 meals a day, free healthcare & free education so he could sit back and read books on how to beat the system and get out one day. An automated firing squad would be used to start shooting at his feet to his chest and let him suffer just like the 17 victims suffered. IJS

I can understand the parents disputing on the basis of the one boy having the rights to cruz's name potentially profitting and how it is broadcasted in the world when the story involves their children. If someone else besides Cruz makes money from using Cruz's name and it reflects their children's death they should have some rights to that profit from the story. The settlement money (aside from future profits from name use) he got was a legal transaction the boy and their family separated their case so they got a separate settlement. It's sad it had to all come to this so many failures! As a neighbor and parent in Broward it's heartbreaking.
