I will need to buy 100% of hay since our pastures didn't produce anything. I have been searching for hay, oh my, it's getting outrageous priced. We have 6 rescue horses and provide hay 24/7 normally. but this year, we will have to scrimp n scrape to get by from fall to next spring. found 40# square bales for $10 each and we got through 24-1,000# round bales or 700-800-50# square bales to just get by til next spring. When we were stationed at Robin's AFB GA when they had the drought, we were paying $110/700-800lb max per round bale. Now, this year and getting afraid that we can't afford the hay as our fields didn't produce enough sadly.
