Kroger is making some tough moves by closing four of its Little Clinics in Virginia, and the grocery giant isn’t offering much insight into why. The closures are set to take effect this Friday, and it’s leaving both patients and shoppers scratching their heads.

With 225 Little Clinics scattered across Kroger stores nationwide, these four closures are a notable shift, but Kroger has kept quiet about the specific reasons behind it. In a statement to the Richmond Times Dispatch, the company described the decision as “difficult” and referred to it as a business move influenced by various factors. For those concerned about their medical records, Kroger has provided a contact number: (877) 852-2677, though it’s unclear if records will be transferred to another location.

This news comes on the heels of another change that’s stirred up customer frustration—Kroger’s new Buy One Get One (BOGO) policy. Shoppers have been grumbling online that the store now requires you to buy two items to get the discount, which is a shift from the previous policy.

One shopper took to Facebook to vent, saying, “Heads up: Kroger has changed their BOGO policy. Must buy two to get the discount.” The post struck a chord with others who echoed similar frustrations. “Just had this experience!” one person exclaimed, sharing their disappointment when a deal didn’t ring up as expected.

Kroger has acknowledged these concerns and is promising that customer feedback will be reviewed by their Internal Teams. They’re also reminding shoppers of other ways to save, including digital coupons, cash-back offers, and fuel points.

As Kroger navigates these changes, both the clinic closures and policy updates are drawing attention and raising questions. Stay tuned to see how the company addresses these issues and whether more changes might be on the horizon.

Kroger is shooting themselves in the foot. people will not buy the item that is buy one get one free if they are forced to use two. I live by myself and relish the fact that I only have to get one. what am I going to do with two loaves of bread for one person? they are going to lose money on this. they really are. Giant Food Store did this for a long time and lost money. they finally opened their eyes and made it to purchase one item because let's face it it's better to earn a dollar than to lose a dollar.
