Virginia is facing a new wave of job cuts this week, and it's hitting hard. Just after BAE Systems announced it was laying off 56 employees from its McLean office, Keurig Green Mountain has now joined the list with a substantial blow.

Keurig Green Mountain filed a notice with the Virginia Employment Commission that reveals a staggering 379 employees at their Windsor office will be out of work by the end of the year. This move is part of the company's broader strategy to shut down the Windsor office entirely.

Under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, companies with over 100 full-time employees are required to give a 60-day notice before laying off 50 or more workers at a single location. Keurig Green Mountain is following this regulation, but it doesn’t make the news any easier for those affected.

This latest round of layoffs adds to the already tough job market in Virginia. With both BAE Systems and Keurig Green Mountain cutting back significantly, the impact on the local job market is substantial. For those losing their jobs, the coming months will be a challenging time as they navigate the transition and search for new opportunities.

Stay tuned as we continue to follow the story and keep you updated on how these layoffs will affect the community and the workforce in Virginia.

He spent billions of our taxes and threatened the FDA to bypass all protocol to have the vaccine available before the election. within four months Biden had schools and business open. None mRNA vaccines available for skeptics our military safe…
