    I believe in player compensation in college because of the huge sums of money generated by college sports. Not just the institutions and the networks, but also the “ university towns” make big money on football weekends. I have a degree, but my yearly has never been close to what some of these athletes are making.But here’s the reason for the article. The writer played sports that are subsidized by football and basketball money. So he and his teammates wouldn’t get NIL money because nobody but family and girlfriends showed up to watch his teams play.
