TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Documents reveal new details about what happened leading up to a man driving a semi truck into a group of people outside of a Tampa strip club, killing one and injuring two.

Dylan Fogle, 25, was kicked out of Emperors Gentlemen’s Club early Tuesday morning after he tried to inappropriately touch a dancer, according to an arrest report filed by the Tampa Police Department.

Fogle’s friend was also kicked out and got into a confrontation with the group outside of the club. Security camera footage showed the confrontation, followed by the truck driving into the crowd, the arrest report said.

Two men were seriously injured with bone fractures on their lower bodies. They were rushed to Tampa General Hospital in critical condition. A third man was killed by the impact of the truck.

Multiple witnesses said they saw bystanders pull Fogle out of the truck and proceed to hit him.

According to police, Fogle called a childhood friend before the collision and texted her, “Goodbye I’m going to jail for vehicular manslaughter.” Police said he also sent two photos showing the cab of the semi truck.

Before Fogle was taken to the hospital, a Tampa police officer reported smelling alcohol on his breath. Medical staff later told police his blood alcohol level was above the legal limit, according to the report.

When police spoke with Fogle, he told them he was in the parking lot to pick up his friend when he saw the confrontation. He claimed the accelerator became stuck as he drove toward the crowd and couldn’t stop the truck, police said. He reportedly could not answer when detectives asked why he did not steer away to avoid hitting the group.

Fogle was charged with first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, vehicular homicide, two counts of DUI with serious injury and DUI manslaughter.

Jail records indicate Fogle lives in Thomasville, North Carolina. He is being held in the Orient Road Jail without bond.
