Special counsel Jack Smith charged former President Donald Trump again in the federal court in Washington, D.C., on felony charges alleging he worked to overturn the results of the 2020 election in the run-up to the violent riot by his supporters in the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. NewsNation’s legal contributor Jesse Weber compares the differences in the new indictment against Trump versus the one before the Supreme Court ruled to allow immunity for sitting presidents in certain circumstances. Weber discusses the possible next steps for the indictment.
