Dave Grohl reveals he fathered a ‘new baby daughter’ outside his marriage

( KTLA ) – Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl posted a personal message to Instagram on Tuesday, revealing that he welcomed a child conceived outside of his marriage.

“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” the 55-year-old rocker wrote. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her.”

The former Nirvana drummer then acknowledged how this development has affected his wife, Jordyn Blum, and his three daughters.

“I love my wife and children, and I’m doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” he continued.

Grohl has been married to Blum since 2003. The couple have three daughters: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.

“We’re grateful for your consideration to all the children involved, as we move together,” Grohl ended the message, before before signing off with a simple “David.”

The identity of his baby daughter’s mother, nor the exact age of the child, was made public.

The Foo Fighters had been touring in support of their latest album on the “Everything or Nothing At All” tour this summer. The band is scheduled to play one more show — in Bridgeport, Connecticut — on Sept. 29, according to their official site.
