ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A Missouri Lottery winner claimed a jackpot of $100,000 as she was heading to address a "plant crisis" in the northern part of St. Louis County.

The fortunate winner acquired the ticket from Phillip 66, situated at 7323 North Lindbergh Boulevard in Hazelwood.

The victor mentioned that she was on her way to her sister's residence to assist with a wilting plant and opted for a brief detour. "I was heading to her place to put an end to that plant," she quipped. "So, I just made a spur-of-the-moment stop at the gas station."

Upon her arrival at the gas station, she chose to buy a "$100,000 Cash Payout" scratch ticket and swiftly scratched it off upon returning to the car.

Upon discovering the outcome, the winner was utterly astonished. "I was in disbelief!" she exclaimed. "I ended up getting lost on the journey! I had to ring her up because I couldn't wrap my head around what just occurred."

The winner had previously mentioned her intention to spend the winnings on a family getaway, ensuring everyone could partake in the fun. "I'm planning to astonish my kids with a visit to a theme park they've been dreaming of," she revealed.

The "$100,000 Cash Payout" scratch ticket costs $5 and boasts a grand prize of $100,000. The odds of winning a prize with this scratch ticket are 1 in 4.04. Currently, there stands $3,106,405 in unclaimed prizes for the "$100,000 Cash Payout" scratch ticket.
