New video footage has emerged showing Travis Scott — whose real name is Jacques Webster — being dragged out of a five-star Paris hotel lobby in handcuffs by cops early Friday morning before being placed into the back of a police car.
The 33-year-old was dressed in a yellow hoodie, black leggings, and sneakers while two police officers were restraining him by holding his arms.
One officer was seen speaking to Scott, as another officer held him back.
Travis Scott was allegedly intoxicated at the time of the fight, with a rep for the rapper telling The Post, “We are in direct communication with the local Parisian authorities to swiftly resolve this matter and will provide updates when appropriate.”
Hotel employees at the Four Seasons Hotel George V attempted to obstruct the camera angles unsuccessfully, as the police eventually managed to persuade the musician to leave the premises.
Scott left the hotel entrance with his head bowed, as three police officers positioned him at the rear of a patrol vehicle.
The "Butterfly Effect" musician maintained a downward gaze as he seemed to momentarily respond to the officer's inquiries.
According to Page Six, Scott was involved in a fight with his security guard early Friday morning, following a claim that a nearby paparazzi managed to access his car's trunk.
“They were screaming at each other, and the hotel freaked out and called the cops,” the insider said of the incident.
The Paris prosecutor’s office shared in a statement to NBC, “I can confirm that on Aug. 9, 2024, police officers were called to the George V hotel and arrested the rapper nicknamed Travis Scott for assaulting a security guard.”
Scott, who is currently in Paris for the 2024 Olympics, which he participated in on Thursday, was arrested shortly after 5 a.m. local time.
A spokesperson for Scott mentioned to The Post, "We are actively engaging with the authorities in Paris to quickly address this issue and will keep you informed as needed."
Information from Page Six indicates that Scott will be set free on Friday afternoon in Paris time.
The prosecutor's office in Paris disclosed to NBC in a statement, "I can verify that on Aug. 9, 2024, law enforcement officers were dispatched to the George V hotel and apprehended the musician known as Travis Scott for attacking a security officer."
The statement continued: “The security guard had intervened to separate the rapper from his bodyguard. The Paris public prosecutor’s office has referred the case to the 1st district of the judicial police.”
The 10-time Grammy nominee was previously arrested in Miami Beach, Fla., on June 20 for disorderly intoxication.
Although the charge was later dropped, Scott is still reportedly facing a trespassing charge.
Scott's lawyer, Bradford Cohen, explained to Page Six when it happened: “Mr. Scott was briefly held for what turned out to be a misunderstanding. There was no fighting and we are grateful to the officials for helping us get a quick and friendly solution.”
