‘’Fresh beef’ what was it before?’: Customer catches Wendy’s teasing Spongebob Krabby Patty meal

In recent years, fast food restaurants have released a variety of themed meals to draw customers into their stores.

These themed meals often involve real-life celebrities. For example, McDonald’s famously teamed up with musician Travis Scott for a custom meal, and rapper Ice Spice has released her own custom drink with Dunkin’.

Lately, it appears that Wendy's is also entering the realm of celebrity-themed meals, but this time, they're choosing not to go with a musician, but rather a renowned cartoon character.

Is Wendy’s releasing a Krabby Patty meal?

In the Nickelodeon series Spongebob Squarepants, the central figure, Spongebob, is employed at a diner named the Krusty Krab. The primary item served at this establishment is the "Krabby Patty"—a meal that has captivated audiences of the show for a long time.

For years, numerous people have tried to recreate their own version of the Krabby Patty. It looks like fans might soon have the chance to buy a real Krabby Patty at Wendy’s.

In a video that has surpassed 405,000 views, a TikTok user named @dapperpops displays what seems to be a promotional Krabby Patty poster being displayed at Wendy’s.

The poster for the "Krabby Patty Meal" featured on it includes a medium portion of fries, a "Pineapple Under the Sea" Frosty, and, naturally, a Krabby Patty, which is described as being made with "fresh beef."

This poster seems to back up earlier reports regarding the product, which were first reported by the Daily Dot from a leaked flyer posted by a Redditor. Although there are limited details available about the burger, the leaked flyer mentions that the burger will include "a secret Krabby Patty sauce," and the Frosty will be created by mixing a Vanilla Frosty with a blend of mango and pineapple.

The image also claims the item will be released in full on Oct. 8.

In the discussion area, individuals who stated they had experimented with the package mentioned that it didn't live up to the excitement.

“I tried it tonight. It’s just a Dave’s single and the secret sauce is like ketchup and mayo mixed together,” said a commenter.

“Tried it last week, it wasn’t good and doesn’t come with a toy, the frosty was at least decent,” offered another.

That said, some shared their excitement.
