Liam Payne's Preliminary Cause of Death Revealed

In a twist that has shaken the world, the initial findings behind Liam Payne’s tragic death at just 31 have come to light. The beloved former One Direction star, whose life ended abruptly in a fall from a hotel in Argentina, has left fans reeling with heartbreak and disbelief. After Liam Payne, who made up One Direction along with Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson, died unexpectedly Oct. 16, authorities have shared his cause of death.

Following the incident, the lead of Buenos Aires' emergency services, Alberto Crescenti, disclosed to La Nación that the singer from the "Strip That Down" band had plummeted from a balcony on the third floor of the Casa Sur Palermo Hotel. “Our role was to head there quickly, give medical attention, and try to resuscitate him, but his injuries were incompatible with life,” he explained to the Argentine publication in Spanish. “Based on what the team saw, there was apparently a cranial fracture and extremely serious injuries that led to his immediate death.”

Although the findings from Payne's autopsy have not been made public, Crescenti highlighted that his group was unable to offer any measures to save his life at the location.

The team could do absolutely nothing,” he added. “There was no resuscitation because it was confirmed that he had died. The whole body had very serious injuries.”

Liam's sudden passing occurred mere days following his visit to Buenos Aires with his partner Kate Cassidy on October 2, the night after they had gone to Niall's show. During that evening, the 31-year-old engaged with his admirers and shared his experiences of reconnecting with another One Direction bandmate.

“It’s been a while since me and Niall have spoken,” he said in a Snapchat video Oct. 1. “We’ve got a lot to talk about. And I would like to square up a couple of things with the boy. No bad vibes or anything like that. But just, um, we need to talk.”
