Fort Myers, FL - Two men were taken into custody on Saturday after a road rage incident escalated into a confrontation involving firearms.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident began on Colonial Boulevard and continued onto Interstate 75.

Jacob Poleski, 43, and Jeremy Collier, 39, were both involved in the altercation.

Poleski allegedly threw a coffee tumbler at Collier's vehicle after feeling cut off in traffic.

In response, Collier is accused of brandishing a firearm at Poleski.

The confrontation continued at a Wawa gas station, where Collier exited his vehicle and again confronted Poleski, this time with a firearm in hand.

Troopers recovered firearms from both vehicles and arrested both men.

Poleski faces charges of improper exhibit of a firearm, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and three counts of battery.

Collier is charged with improper exhibit of a firearm and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Collier's two young children were present in his vehicle during the incident and were exposed to coffee spilled as a result of the initial altercation.

Both men are facing charges in connection with the incident.
