Teen Rapist Who Livestreamed Crime Learns Fate Today

A now 17-year-old who pleaded no contest to five criminal charges after raping a woman and livestreaming it in front of the Hollywood Police Department learns his fate today. Defense attorney James Lewis says Terry Berger-Smith was just 14 years old when this happened in June of 2022. His plea comes with no promise of leniency, so he faces parole to life in prison. Minors cannot be sentenced to life without parole in Florida for any offense other than murder.
