Parkland, FL - A burglary attempt was thwarted after a man posing as an Amazon delivery driver was caught on a homeowner’s Ring camera stealing an iPhone 15.

The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Stanley Sabino Pimentel, was arrested by Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) detectives.

Authorities say Pimentel, dressed in an Amazon vest and carrying a box, appeared to be making a routine delivery when he targeted the Parkland home of Latoya Bellamy-Lockhart.

However, BSO’s Burglary Apprehension Team was on the case and intervened, recovering a stolen iPhone 15 Pro from the suspect’s vehicle.

Investigators linked Pimentel’s blue Honda Accord to a previous residential burglary in the area and conducted surveillance on the vehicle.

They witnessed the suspect park outside Bellamy-Lockhart’s home, put on the Amazon disguise, and attempt the burglary.

Pimentel was taken into custody on charges of residential burglary, grand theft, and possession of a firearm.

Authorities believe he may be connected to other crimes in Broward County.
