Motive Of Man's Murder Under Investigation After Body Found Dumped

The Martin County Sheriff's Office is trying to find the motive in a deadly shooting. The body of a man in his sixties was found dumped on the side of a road in Stuart yesterday and a woman told investigators she pulled the trigger.

"She said that she was in a scuffle of some kind with someone she knew and that during that scuffle, she shot him and that he had expired."

Sheriff William Snyder tells CBS 12 News says that the woman is not facing any charges at this time because they want to know whether the shooting was self defense or outright murder.

"I think the question now for us to determine is motive. She's admitting she shot him. He is dead. What were the circumstances? We just have to find that out before we know exactly what we have,"

He has not identified her or the gunshot victim, or said the nature of their relationship.
