Miami Springs, FL - Two individuals have been arrested in connection with a “bank jugging” robbery that occurred at a Miami Springs bank on Saturday.

The suspects, identified as Walter Ray Kyles and Summer Jenae Wallace, allegedly followed a man home after he withdrew cash from a local ATM.

According to the Miami Springs Police , “Bank jugging” is a type of theft where criminals watch banks or ATMs, follow individuals who have withdrawn large amounts of cash, and then rob them, either by force or by breaking into their vehicle. The crime involves surveillance, with thieves often working in teams to target unsuspecting victims."

Kyles is accused of smashing the victim’s car window and stealing the withdrawn money and checks.

Miami Springs Police, with the assistance of the Miami Police Department’s Tactical Robbery Unit, apprehended the suspects and recovered a portion of the stolen funds.
