Unclaimed Property Auction

Florida's Department of Financial Services is hosting an Unclaimed Property Auction in West Palm Beach this weekend. Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis says 66,000 items were left abandoned in safe deposit boxes at banks. Proceeds from the auction will be used to help fund education.

The auction is open to the public and begins at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Embassy Suites hotel near Palm Beach International Airport.
