A Port St. Lucie man is in jail after allegedly threatening to burn down an unspecified abortion clinic.

Police say Stephen Gilbert wrote on "X" this week "My goal for the week is to find the nearest Abortion Clinic and burn it to the ground" and then put the hashtag '#ProLife.'

A detective with Port St. Lucie Police and FBI agents caught up with the 27-year old at his job and he admitted to making the post but denied having any weapons or access to bombmaking materials.

Investigators say there was also no physical evidence of a plan.

Gilbert was arrested the next day and booked on a single count of intimidation - sending threat to injure or kill, which is a second-degree felony.

He has a criminal history including arrests for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, cocaine possession and indecent exposure.
