Teen Arrested After Crashing Cars Into Trees While Fleeing Traffic Stop

Fort Myers, FL - An 18-year-old Florida man was arrested early Saturday morning after his car crashed into a treeline after fleeing a traffic stop.

The incident occurred on State Road 82 and Michigan Avenue, where Florida Highway Patrol troopers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Frank Edward Tatum.

Tatum initially pulled over but then sped away, leading troopers on a short pursuit.

The vehicle eventually went off the road and crashed into the treeline on the southbound I-75 entrance ramp.

Tatum fled the scene on foot but was later arrested.

It is unclear if there were any injuries in the crash.
