Man Dead After Brightline Train Strikes Car Stopped On Tracks

An investigation is underway after a death on the tracks in Palm Beach Gardens.

Police say a Brightline train collided with a car that was stopped on the FEC tracks at Alternate A1A and Burns Road Monday afternoon.

First responders found a man's body at the scene and he was the only person in the car at the time. The man's name has not been released.

Photos from the scene show extensive damage to the vehicle, including the roof ripped off and the hood caught on the front of the train.
