Today Marks One-Year Anniversary Of Deadly BSO Helicopter Crash

The Broward Sheriff's Office honoring Battalion Chief Terryson Jackson on the first anniversary of a deadly helicopter crash also killing an innocent civilian in Pompano Beach. Sheriff Gregory Tony says Jackson was responding to a call when his E-C 135 helicopter had a catastrophic mechanical error putting it in a deadly tailspin. The chopper crashed into a small apartment east of North Dixie Highway just south of Northeast 10th Street, killing 65-year-old Lurean Wheaton.
