ATV Accident In Miami-Dade Canal Ends With One Dead, One Injured

Miami-Dade, FL - An ATV accident in the Hammocks area of Miami-Dade County resulted in a fatality on Thursday.

The incident occurred around 1 p.m. Thursday anear 112th Street and SW 157th Avenue, where an ATV ended up in a canal.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded to the scene and recovered one victim from the water.

Authorities say that the person did not survive.

The other victim was pulled from the canal and assessed for injuries.

The identities of both victims have not been released at this time.

An investigation into Thursday's deadly accident is ongoing.
