Miami Beach, FL - A partial collapse of scaffolding at an oceanfront condo on Miami Beach on Tuesday left one person in critical condition.

The incident occurred at the Villa Di Mare building located at 5801 Collins Avenue, prompting a swift response from Miami Beach Police and fire rescue crews.

City officials confirmed that one person was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.

Additionally, another person received medical attention at the scene.

The identities of the injured individuals and further details about the incident have not been released at this time.

Authorities are actively investigating the cause of the scaffolding collapse.

Records indicate that the Villa Di Mare building was constructed in 2002 and consists of 13 units, each occupying an entire floor.

With a spacious area of over 4,600 square feet, these units are highly sought after, with recent sales exceeding $4.5 million each.
