    What City Of Delray Beach Is Doing To Help Sea Turtle Hatchlings

    Sea Turtle Nesting Season runs through October and the City of Delray Beach is crediting new initiatives for more hatchlings finding their way to the ocean.

    The city says it launched its Sea Turtle Conservation Program at the start of the season, in collaboration with several environmental non-profits to tackle issues such as light pollution, restoring dunes and improving water quality.

    The most recent numbers from Delray Beach show a total of 306 nests, including 287 loggerheads.
