Man Arrested For 2021 Stabbing Death In Palm Beach County

Boynton Beach Police are touting the arrest of a man for a murder that took place in October of 2021.

26-year old Tydaries Brooks has been taken into custody for the stabbing death of 51 year old Robert McLean, who was found suffering from wounds to his chest along Northeast 13th Avenue on an October night.

Investigators believe the man had been involved in an altercation and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses were interviewed over the next nearly three years while detectives gathered evidence. A warrant was issued for Brooks on September 10th and he was found by U.S. Marshals in Riviera Beach.

A woman told deputies she had been sexually assaulted by the victim weeks prior and that Brooks had found out.

We're told he refused a court appearance yesterday.
