Popular Clothing Chain To Permanently Close All Florida Locations

Yet another national clothing retailer just announced that they would be shuttering stores across the country this year as a result of ongoing financial turmoil.

According to The Post and Courier , Delta Apparel Inc., parent company to popular retailer Salt Life (who will soon cease to exist), declared bankruptcy in July due to "reduced demand" and "difficulties obtaining raw materials." Per the court filing:

"A combination of reduced demand and difficulties obtaining raw materials have resulted in declining liquidity that Delta’s Board has been unable to counteract, despite their best efforts." The Salt Life brand, encompassing 28 stores nationwide, spans 10 states including its flagship in Jacksonville, Florida.

Salt Life stores closing across The Sunshine State include, Jacksonville Beach, St. Augustine Premium Outlets, Daytona Beach Tanger Outlets, Orlando - The Florida Mall, Tampa Premium Outlets, Salt Life Sarasota, Estero - Miramar Outlets, Salt Life Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens Mall, Salt Life Boca Raton, Pompano Beach, Salt Life Fort Lauderdale, Salt Life Pembroke Gardens, and last but not least, Key West.

These locations will be liquidated over the next couple of months and will no longer accept coupons after October 20th. The popular brand is currently offering customers 40% off clothes and other merchandise while supplies last.
