Pompano Beach, FL - Two children were hospitalized after a liquid substance was poured on them during a dispute among adults in Pompano Beach on Sunday.

According to the Broward Sheriff's Office (BSO), deputies responded to a medical call around 11 a.m. following reports of a disagreement that involved three adults.

During the altercation, a liquid substance was poured onto two minors.

While the nature of the liquid remains unclear, the children were taken to a hospital as a precautionary measure.

Two women were taken into custody in connection with Sunday's incident.
