    Man sentenced for killing teen in Luzerne County

    A man was sentenced to up to 40 years behind bars after killing a teen in Luzerne County. Investigators say Alan Meyers shot and killed 17 year old Kassadey Matulevich at her home in Butler Township near Drums in August of 2022. Meyers pleaded guilty to third-degree murder charges on Tuesday and was immediately sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison in Luzerne County.
