A heavy police presence last night in one part of Lackawanna County in search of a wanted man.  Several police departments, including Olyphant, Blakely, Jessup, Dickson City, and state police, responded to part of the Casey Highway near the Olyphant exit just after 9 p.m. last night, after Demetrius Johnson drove his car into several police vehicles, then took off. Officers were searching the area with flashlights as well as helicopters and drones.

A high speed chase early this morning through 2 counties.  The chase started in Wilkes Barre and ended around 1 this morning, when police discovered the suspect hiding in a tree along Schultz Court in South Scranton, then took him into custody.  No word on the suspect's name, or what prompted that early morning police chase.
