Luzerne County teen dies in shooting

A Luzerne County teen died from a gunshot wound over the weekend. A 17 year old boy was shot around 4 p.m. Sunday at a home along Minden Court in Nanticoke. According to a copy of a search warrant filed in the investigation, an 18-year-old witness gave investigators differing accounts of how the gun went off. first saying the gun discharged by falling off of a shelf onto the living room floor. Then later, he said the gun fired while he was "fooling around" with the weapon. The dead teen's name has not been released. An autopsy is scheduled for this morning in Luzerne County.
