Jail time for a local teen who brought a gun near a Scranton school

A Wilkes Barre teen who was carrying a loaded gun near Scranton High School earlier this year has been sentenced to spend up to six years in jail. 16-year-old Sihayr Dickerson pleaded guilty to aggravated assault charges in June. Authorities say Dickerson traveled by bus from Wilkes Barre to Scranton to shoot a rival gang member before he was picked up outside Scranton High School in January. The school was placed in lockdown and no one was injured.
