they need to do a pay study of factories in the town. I moved up here from Knoxville 2 years ago and the biggest thing I've noticed is that the cost of living is similar to that of Knoxville (rent seems higher here than Knoxville) but the pay rate is drastically lower in many jobs. especially factories. Stonepeaks pay is quite pathetic at $14 an hour if you look around and compare it to other factories in Tennessee. They pay residents/citizens a very low wage but pay the Italians that are here on visas almost double for the same job.
