I could get on a soap box about this subject. If someone has committed a horrible crime, such a rape/murder they deserve the death penalty. It use to be when you committed these crimes and proof was found, you had a trial and were put to death within 30 days. I just don’t know why tax payers have to foot the bill for years and years of these individuals to sit on death row for the rest of their lives. It costs over $3 million dollars to house a death row inmate.
