Historically, young voters have turned out to vote in elections at a far lower percentage than the 50+ age voters. This time they have a very significant reason to turn up to vote. Their reproductive rights are on the line. This applies to males as well as females. Many times males would prefer their partners get an abortion rather than having to support a child for 18+ years. They want to be able to end a pregnancy when there is no hope that the child would live for long after it was born. These young people want to be able to decide what is best for their family if the fetus has a birth defect that would give them a poor quality of life. This election is much more real to them than past elections have been. They can easily see how electing Harris will give them choices and electing Trump will give them Project 2025 which will control abortion, birth control, marriage between 2 men or 2 women, and so many other things that are important to them.
