Midland Animal Shelter facing capacity crisis
MIDLAND, Texas — The Midland animal shelter is at capacity, with 150 dogs and 100 cats awaiting adoption, according to a press release from the City of Midland. The release further stated that local nonprofits have recently stepped up to help more than 140 dogs through a fostering effort. However, this past week, Animal Services faced capacity issues again, prompting a call for Midlanders to adopt 250 animals in need of homes.
