New Season of Fuse’s ‘Like A Girl’ Features Flau’jae Johnson, Diana Flores
Fuse Media said its series about women’s sports Like a Girl, will launch its second season on August 21.Sponsored by Garnier Fructis and Pizza Hut, the new season features a half-dozen episodes about top female athletes including college basketball star and rapper Flau’jae Johnson of LSU.Also featured in episodes are World Flag Football Champion Diana Flores, Combate Global’s Lucera Acosta and Milssa Amaya, soccer players Sydney Leroux, Ali Riley and Kennedy Fuller of Angel City FC, Wimbledon champion Taylor Townsend and Olympic gymnast Emma Malabuyo.Like a Girl is hosted by MJ Acosta-Ruiz and Joy Taylor.

NBCU’s Olympic Opening Ceremony Audience Jumps 60% To 28.6 Million
NBCUniversal said the opening ceremony for the Paris Summer Olympics had a Total Audience of 28.6 million viewers on NBC and Peacock, which is a rebound from the low ratings from the COVID-delayed Tokyo Games.NBCU had been expecting ratings to be better than Tokyo and the audience was 60% higher than the disappointing 2021 Summer Games. The viewership also topped the colorful 2018 Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympics by 8%, but fell just short of the 2012 London Summer Olympics. Free ad-supported streaming TV service (FAST) Pluto TV will offer new and library content from the WOW — Women of Wrestling promotion as part of a new dedicated channel. Tracie Ann Brennan, Exec VP at Al Roker Entertainment, Dies
Tracie Ann Brennan, executive VP at Al Roker Entertainment, died July 20, after battling amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). She was 64.At Roker Entertainment, she worked on projects including the Coast Guard: Alaska series, Last Chance Highway, Side-By-Side for Northwell Health and the upcoming PBS KIds show Weather Hunters.“I was deeply saddened to hear of Tracie’s passing,” said Al Roker, founder of Al Roker Entertainment. “For 20 years, she was the heart and soul of our company, a brilliant creative mind, and a cherished friend.”Born in Camden, New Jersey, Brennan’s distinguished career in television included stops at Lifetime Television, The Lighting Design Group, Fuse and Atlantic Video before joining Al Roker Entertainment.In lieu of flowers, donations to ALS United are appreciated.
Internet, Video Losses Continue for Charter
Charter Communications posted a second-quarter increase in net income and revenue despite continuing losses of internet and video customers.Net income at Stamford, Connecticut-based Charter rose 0.5% to $1.23 billion, or $8.49 a share, from $1.22 billion, or $8.05 a share a year ago.
