Lenore man Arrested After Being Accused of Inappropriately Touching a Child
LEWISTON - A Lenore man was arrested and booked into the Nez Perce County Jail this week after he was accused of inappropriately touching a child on multiple occasions. According to court documents, on June 18, the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office received a report that 43-year-old Shawn Kleemeyer had repeatedly touched a minor female inappropriately.
Airport won’t need city or county money in 2025
The Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport won’t need contributions from its two sponsoring entities to support its fiscal year 2025 operations. Airport Director Mike Isaacs said the airport isn’t asking for money from Lewiston or Nez Perce County, and a Leading Idaho grant distributed by the Idaho Department of Transportation will help the airport balance its budget. The city and county typically contribute to the airport’s budget.
Nez Perce County Fire and Lapwai Fire tackle grass fire on Powers
LEWISTON - Nez Perce County Fire along with assistance from Lapwai Fire, knocked down a small grass fire on the 2500 block of Powers Avenue at 5:45 p.m. this evening. Crews were on the scene for about a hour. No structures were threatened and there were no injuries reported.
Chip Seal Operations to Begin on July 1st
(Lewiston, ID) – Contract chip seal operations will begin on Nez Perce County Road R275, which is known as Sunnyside Bench Road in the Lenore area, on Monday, July 1st, work is scheduled to be completed on Tuesday, July 2nd. Look for equipment and personnel in the roadway, traffic will be controlled by flagging operations with pilot cars, expect delays and speed reductions.
