With less than a month before regular season football action returns, there is a whole lot of excitement in the air. Teams are finalizing their plans as they get ready for the upcoming six months. Fans of the New York Jets are getting ready to expect great things from their team for the second year in a row as Aaron Rodgers will return under center.

Last season’s hype quickly turned into a nightmare jus four plays into the first game of the season with Rodgers going down with a torn ACL.

The Jets have assembled a squad that, if healthy, can make the playoffs, but winning the Super Bowl is a bigger challenge. The AFC is pretty stacked with talented rosters all over the conference, and in order to defeat these teams in the postseason, it won’t hurt New York to work on a few trades for the upcoming season.

Here, we take a look at three trades the Jets should pursue to win the Super Bowl.

Work out a trade for Davante Adams

First and foremost, the Jets should look at working out a trade deal with the Las Vegas Raiders for wideout Davante Adams. In reality, this deal may not be easy to pull off because the Raiders aren’t interested in listening to any offers for Adams.

However, even though Adams is back with the team after the birth of his child and is seemingly happy, he was looking for a way out not too long ago. Moreover, he and Rodgers go back to their Packers days, and the two have a nice camaraderie with one another.

As per reports, Rodgers wants New York to pursue this trade, and the Jets have been trying to figure out a way to get it done. Should the Jets be able to pull this off, they will have not one, but two quality pass catchers in Adams and Garrett Wilson. Plus, they would have Mike Williams, whom they added from the Chargers, and rookie receiver Malachi Corley.

Trade for offensive guard Jon Feliciano

New York could also look at bringing in Jon Feliciano at guard, as he is currently in a position battle with Dominick Puni in San Francisco. Should Feliciano drop down the order with Puni taking his spot, Feliciano could be open for a move.

Feliciano is coming off one of his best seasons in 2023, as he didn’t allow a single sack in pass blocking. In the run game, he was even better, posting a magnificent Pro Football Focus run-blocking grade of 87.0.

The New York native would be a superb addition to the Jets roster as a backup or could even start if required. He is capable of playing both left and right guard as well as the center position.

The Jets could get Quinton Jefferson back

Quinton Jefferson played the 2023 season with the Jets and had a pretty decent year. He even finished with six sacks, which is his career best to date. After his one-year deal came to an end, he joined the Cleveland Browns for the 2024 season on another one-year deal. However, the competition in Cleveland is quite stiff, and Jefferson may be looking at a reduced role with the Browns.

If Jefferson falls down the order in Cleveland, he may look for a return to the Jets. New York can still use his services to further bolster their interior defense. A reunion for both parties could make sense, as Jefferson would add more depth to one of the top defensive lines in the league.
