Having been a member of the Green Bay Packers since 2020, Jordan Love had to wait patiently for him to be handed the reins of the offense. Sitting and watching from the sidelines as Aaron Rodgers went about his business, Love gained valuable insight and learned valuable lessons. Soaking up all the knowledge from a four-time MVP is not something every young quarterback is lucky enough to have.
Although Love did play in ten games prior to last season, he started only one in 2021. The small sample size was never enough to fully comprehend what type of player he would become when his time came to lead the charge.
In 2023, with the departure of Rodgers to the Jets, we finally got the chance to witness Love as the starting quarterback for the entire season.
While the initial phase of his first season as a starter was quite a struggle, the former first-rounder was able to bounce back quickly and even lead Green Bay to the playoffs which at one point looked far from a possibility.
Jordan Love’s stats in 2023
The first few games were pretty rough for Love in 2023. Green Bay had a 3-6 record by Week 10 before Love’s game flipped a switch.
What started out as 2009 passing yards, 14 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions after nine games finished with 4,159 passing yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions for a passer rating of 96.1 by the end of the regular season.
The vast improvement in Love’s play is highlighted by the fact that he threw 18 touchdowns in the final eight games while conceding just 3 interceptions. Green Bay even finished on a high winning the last six games out of eight, including victories over the Detroit Lions and the Kansas City Chiefs in consecutive weeks.
Predicting Jordan Love’s 2024 stat line
Predicting the stat line for Love in 2024 is a bit tricky considering the way he finished last year’s campaign.
When it was all said and done, Love finished seventh in passing yards and second only to Dak Prescott in passing touchdowns. To better this performance won’t be an easy task, but if he continues from where he left off last year and performs consistently throughout the season, Love could be in for a big year in 2024.
As far as predictions go, Jordan Love could finish this year with slightly over 4,500 passing yards, 36 passing touchdowns, and seven interceptions. This should also help him achieve a passer rating of above 100, somewhere around 102.
