2 Jacksonville Jaguars Fantasy Football Sleepers For 2024

The Jacksonville Jaguars delivered one of the biggest Fantasy Football disappointments of 2023 last season with quarterback Trevor Lawrence. However, some fantasy managers might be going too far in writing off the entire team because of his down season last year.

There still are Jaguars players worth pursuing beyond Lawrence in 2024.

Here’s a look at two of them that are going under the radar.

    Gabe Davis, WR

The exit of Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis from Buffalo was covered heavily earlier this year. However, the discussion surrounding both of those players was mostly not about how well they would do without Josh Allen. Rather, the discussion centered around how Allen would do without Davis and Diggs.

Well, Davis joined Lawrence, who has proven in the past that he can get things done. Davis also has shown an ability to be productive on the stat sheet. Over the last two years, Davis has earned about 800 yards and seven touchdowns, setting a strong floor for managers. At worst, he could be a bubble flex player. At best, he could be a week-to-week starter.

    Brian Thomas Jr. , WR

According to Sports Illustrated, Christian Kirk is battling a calf injury. With Kirk set to lead the wide receiver room in 2024, any missed snaps from him hands more to Davis. However, it also adds more snaps to Brian Thomas Jr., so if a manager were to spend a third receiver-level of capital on him, they could end up getting a second wide receiver-level of production at some point.

Of course, this assumes that Kirk’s injuries snowball or at least hold him back from his full potential. If that happens, Davis and Kirk could find themselves in a competition for who on the Jaguars can draw the most double teams. This would open the door for Thomas Jr.

There are a lot of expectations placed on Thomas Jr., who was selected 23rd overall by the Jaguars in the NFL Draft. As a rookie first-round draft pick, there is plenty to like about him.

If Thomas pops early, he could climb the Jacksonville Jaguars’ depth chart because of that, as well. This means that there are a few pathways for Thomas to climb this year and more reasons to buy in for managers.
