New York Giants WR Malik Nabers Makes Massive NFL History

The New York Giants are no strangers to having one of the stars of the league in their wide receiver room. However, it has been a while. After the team’s Week 3 win over the Cleveland Browns, they might have their true successor to Odell Beckham Jr. At least, that is what the statistics are indicating.

According to The 33rd Team on Twitter/X, the receiver set two records. He was the youngest wide receiver with two touchdown catches in a game as a 21-year-old, 56-day-old receiver. Nabers also was the first player in league history to earn at least 20 catches and three touchdowns in his first three games.

On top of this, he leads the league in receptions, yards after the catch, and touchdowns. While Nabers has seen plenty of hype this off-season, not many expected him to deliver on this level as a rookie. Put simply, Giants fans have a reason to be excited.

Daniel Jones sees marked improvement following Malik Nabers revelation

Heading into the season, fans were aware that Daniel Jones was going to have a lot of pressure on his shoulders after his team let Saquon Barkley walk. However, not many expected him to pull it off. So far, despite a Week 1 stumble, Jones appears to be somewhat rejuvenated.

Every week has seen Jones improve statistically. Per Pro Football Reference, in Week 1, he completed just 52.4% of his passes for 186 yards and two interceptions. In Week 2, he completed 57.1% of his passes for two touchdowns and zero interceptions. In Week 3, he completed 70.6% of his passes for 236 yards and two touchdowns without throwing an interception.

It hasn’t been a perfect season for the 1-2 New York Giants, but it has been encouraging to see Nabers take. The question is whether the fourth-place team in the NFC East can get something going.
