2 Perfect Trade Targets For The Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a perfect 3-0, but the team is not perfect on every corner of the roster. As such, Mike Tomlin’s front office should be hard at work looking for players to add to make themselves better. If they don’t get better throughout the season, they are getting worse.

Here are two players that can help beef up the Steelers’ roster.

    L’Jarius Sneed, CB, Tennessee Titans

The Steelers have a lot of things going well. However, one aspect of the roster going poorly is the defensive secondary. The Steelers have the 29th-ranked passing defense in the NFL, per ESPN’s stats. Ergo, they should feel a sense of urgency to fix the issue if they are serious about making a deep playoff run in line with their AFC-leading record.

One possible solution is adding L’Jarius Sneed. Sneed has spent time with the Chiefs before joining the Titans this off-season. However, with the Titans 0-3 , they are much more likely to be sellers than buyers in late October. As such, the Steelers could add someone to beef up their secondary. Last season, Sneed earned a 71.1 PFF grade.

Eric Stokes, CB, Green Bay Packers

The Packers’ secondary is swarming this off-season, with Xavier McKinney leading the league in interceptions, per NFL stats. The other, Jaire Alexander, is tied for second place. As a result, the Packers might be willing to part ways with Eric Stokes, if the Steelers can offer up a useful player the Packers need.

Stokes currently has a 68.3 PFF grade and could slide in nicely to help out the secondary. Eventually, the Pittsburgh Steelers will need to stop someone through the air. Stokes can help the team out when that time comes.
