NY weather update: Niagara County under a flash flood warning until Tuesday midday
On Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. an updated flash flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 12:45 p.m. for Niagara County. "At 10:30 a.m., local law enforcement reported flash flooding some roadways in the Lewiston area.Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen in the warned area. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected," according to the weather service. "Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas."

On Sunday at 5:54 p.m. an updated air quality alert was issued valid until Monday at 11 p.m. for Niagara, Orleans, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties. "The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation at Albany has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for Ground Level Ozone from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday," says the National Weather Service.
