JobPod launches pilot site at Niagara Branch Library

    2024-06-03

NIAGARA — A ribbon cutting ceremony to launch the third JobPod pilot site will be held at the Niagara Branch Library. JobPod facilitates easy and reliable access to job search resources for employment seekers by merging community library spaces with the expertise of workforce development professionals.

The ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. June 12 at the library, 1029 Roosevelt Road, Niagara.

Marinette County Consolidated Public Library Service Interim Director Lara Lakari, Niagara Branch Librarian Rebecca Livick, Bay Area Workforce Development Board Executive Director Vickie Patterson and Nicolet Federated Library System Director Tracy Vreeke will be at the event. Refreshments will be served.

Formed under a partnership with the Bay Area Workforce Development Board, Brown County Library, Nicolet Federated Library System, and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, JobPod enables community members to access a full range of job services through their public library.

Two additional pilot sites, Brown County Library-East Branch, and the Algoma Public Library, launched their JobPod access points for job seekers launched earlier this spring.

People can stay current with library news and information by connecting with the library on Facebook, by visiting www.marinettecountylibraries.org or by calling (715) 251-3236.
